2 A.M. decision

I FINALLY WENT skiing IN the SKI DUBAI SKI DOME!

drum roll please……………

and I only skied once! from the mid slope!

it’s not like I’ve never skied before, I did once in Lebanon, but this was very horrific.I was so horrified  I just kept staring at the start of the slope. like it was mind-boggling to understand how anyone would want to start from there, mid-slope! it started off steep. that was the only reason I was scared; and the fact that poles, nets, and walls were the only things that could stop me didn’t help. a sleek finish was not in sight for me.

I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO STOP.

even in Lebanon but there it was just snow. no matter how fast you went you knew that you could only bump into snow, and fall onto a pile of snow, not metal, net, and machinery!

so today I decided I’ve had enough, and I’m only coming back to get private lessons in skiing. my cousin S was very helpful in riding the chairlift all the way back down again with me :* , love her. pssst, she was scared too but you didn’t hear it from me 😉

the thing that made me laugh all through this was seeing the little kids of 5 or 6 years maybe going down the slope like they were just going to hop on down all the way to the end and me standing next to them freaking out not wanting my skis to “accidentally“ slide down. I say accidentally because my little cousin A tried to push me down once. but I was in life or death mode scared to a point where I was laughing at myself thinking i might slide down. oh, and I fell twice. that’s nothing compared to how many times I fell in Lebanon but as I said before, that was different.
